Dons: Do Something About It Program
In the Fall 2015 semester, the University of San Francisco was awarded the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) CHOICES grant. The NCAA CHOICES grant provides funding for NCAA member institutions to integrate athletics into campus-wide efforts to reduce alcohol use, misuse, and abuse among all college students.
Health Promotion Services partnered with Athletics to create the Dons: Do Something About It program. Dons: Do Something About It is a comprehensive educational program advocating a bystander intervention approach to reduce problem drinking and its related maladaptive behaviors, such as sexual assault on USF college campus.
