Off Campus Lifestyle
Living off campus is a great way to get to know the city! There are so many fun things to do here, and we recommend you explore them all! Once you get used to it, you'll feel just like a local. There's a few tips and tricks to getting to know San Francisco and the lifestyle.
Most apartments in SF aren't going to have in-unit laundry. Many people go to laundromats near their apartment. Laundromats are very common and plentiful here; there's most likely one right around the corner from where you live. Call you local laundromat beforehand to determine what their payment method is. Make sure to bring your detergent with you and anything else you may need to wash your clothes. Don't be afraid to utilize laundromats in SF, it's part of the culture and part of the fun!
Eating out can get costly in SF, so we encourage you to look for other ways to get your food. Check out your nearby grocery store to get more food for less. Some grocery stores include Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Safeway, and more.
Also check out some Farmers Markets for fresh food and produce. It's a great way to get to know the city, get some great food, and create less waste! Take a look at sfenvironment.org for a list of weekly SF Farmers Markets.
