Spring 2023: New Student & Family Orientation Schedule

This virtual meetup led by current USF students is a great way to meet new incoming students. You'll have a chance to ask questions about college life, San Francisco and learn more about the student experience at USF.

During this virtual orientation, new transfer students will be given an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about transfer resources at USF.

This event is virtual and strongly encouraged but not mandatory.

New to USF? Let our GO Team leaders show you around your new home! Bring your walking shoes. 

Tours will take place every 30 minutes between 2 - 4 PM.

Come be in community before the Men's Basketball game with new students & families, USF faculty and staff, and deans. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. 

Admission to the game is free.

Join other new students and family members for your official welcome to our USF community. We will take a moment to celebrate your accomplishments and introduce you to some campus resources that will help you thrive at USF.

University Center, First and Second Floors

Enjoy lunch in the cafe (UC 2), and then go check out this resource fair (UC 1), where USF offices and departments will be on hand to answer your questions and help you learn about some resources and services available to you at USF.

Lunch will be provided as well as free swag.

You will hear from college/school deans and faculty who will provide you with essential information about your academic major/program.

Take a tour of our Koret Health and Recreation Center while learning more about the Rec Sports programs, including Club Sports, Intramural Sports, Group Fitness, Outdoor Adventure Trips, and more!

Visiting the world famous Golden Gate Bridge is a unique experience for everyone. Whether you hike, walk, bike, shop, take a personally guided tour, or even just drive over it, the views of the city are amazing and surely breathtaking. It is not every day that you have the chance to walk across this national landmark! Be sure to bring comfy shoes and layered clothing.

With the wind running through your hair, the crispness of air soaring through your lungs, one of the best places to enjoy a bike ride in San Francisco is at the Golden Gate Park. In this interactive workshop, students will start the important conversation of fostering a supportive, healthy & safe USF community. GO Team leaders and students will be engaging in discussions around consent, sexual assault prevention, healthy relationships, and active bystander behavior. Building a campus grounded in respect is a community project in which every Don participates.
