International Fellowships

International fellowships can open up opportunities to international careers.   The fellowships below are some funding options available to undergraduate and recent graduates interested in pursuing graduate study, internships, conduct research or teaching abroad.  Students are advised to begin their funding searches and fellowship applications at least six months to one year in advance. 

Boren Awards for International Study - Open to studies in regions critical to U.S. interests and commitment to public service and national security.

Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program - Prepares outstanding students for careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State. Applicants that are selected receive support through two years of graduate study, internships, mentoring and professional development activities. Encourages application of members of historically underrepresented minority groups, women, and those with financial need.

China-U.S. Scholars Program (CUSCP) - Exchange in China or Hong Kong SAR (China) for students in the arts, humanities and social sciences to teach, study or conduct research abroad.

Fulbright Student Program - U.S. Department of State grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant programs.

George J. Mitchell Scholarship - Designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) - Aimed at promoting grass-roots international exchange between Japan and other nations.

Luce Scholars | The Henry Luce Foundation - Individualized professional placement in Asia for college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals in a variety of fields who have had limited exposure to Asia.

Marshall Scholarship - Offers generous grants to selected graduates of American Universities who wish to pursue graduate studies in the UK.

Princeton in Asia - Connecting service-minded graduates and partner organizations in Asia through immersive work experiences that transform perspectives, cultivate long-lasting friendships and benefit local and global communities.

Schwarzman Scholars - A one-year, fully-funded master's program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, designed to build a global community of future leaders who will serve to deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world.
