International Student Orientation
Fall 2023 International Student Orientation takes place from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 17 for undergraduate and Friday, August 18 for graduate students with both optional and mandatory activities. New international students moving into on-campus housing are expected to arrive on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
ISSS will offer transportation service on this move-in day. You can register for our shuttle service here. The deadline to register is Thursday, August 3. For more information about getting to campus from the airport, please view the Getting to USF page.
Fall 2023 Mandatory International Student Activities
All new graduate and undergraduate students are required to attend the International Student Orientation. The in-person session will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 17 for undergraduate and Friday, August 18 for graduate students. These sessions are designed to address the most common questions and concerns that international students have as well as covering important information such as immigration regulations pertaining to your visa, academic expectations, and cultural adjustment. All new undergraduate international students (including transfer students) need to also attend the New Student and Family Orientation that coincides with international students orientation. New graduate international students will have an orientation offered by their academic program or college and should attend this session.
Fall 2023 Additional International Student Activities
ISSS will offer optional activities including social events, workshops, and information sessions to help incoming international students get settled and meet new friends. These events are for undergraduate and graduate students and will take place from Wednesday, August 16 - Tuesday, August 24.
Online Orientation Module
New international students who did not attend orientation in-person and students who have not recently completed orientation are required to complete the online tutorial below. The online modules are designed to address the most common questions and concerns that international students have as well as covering important information such as immigration regulations pertaining to your visa, academic expectations, and cultural adjustment.
