International Student Orientation

Spring 2019 orientation is mandatory for all new undergraduate and graduate students.

The mandatory sessions are designed to address the most common questions and concerns that international students have as well as covering important information such as immigration regulations pertaining to your visa, academic expectations, and cultural adjustment.

  • Failure to attend the orientation program will result in a hold being placed on your student account.
  • Undergraduate students also must attend New Student Orientation, and Graduate students need to attend their department orientation.
  • New Undergraduate students are encouraged to register for the New Student Orientation which begins on Friday, January 18.

International Student Move in Day: Tuesday, January 15

International student move in day is Tuesday, January 15, 2019. For new international students who are arriving on this day, there is an option to register in advance for the ISSS organized transportation service to USF. Undergraduate and Graduate Student Optional Activities: Tuesday, January 15-Thursday, January 17

There will also be optional activities before the mandatory sessions to help incoming students get settled, meet new friends, and get familiar with campus.

Resource Fair: Wednesday, January 16 from 1-2:30pm on the University Center 5th floor
