COVID-19 Resources
We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of our students and staff/faculty as we navigate COVID-19 on our USF campus.
COVID-19 Vaccine
COVID-19 vaccines are available to all individuals. To schedule an appointment to receive the initial vaccine, please visit the following vaccine site location near you.
Vaccination Requirements
The University of San Francisco will require all undergraduate and graduate students to be vaccinated for COVID-19. The deadline for new incoming students is August 15, 2024.
Currently, the CDC recommends that everyone 6 years and older receive a single bivalent dose, no matter their previous history of vaccination, to be considered up to date. Students must upload their updated vaccination information to Med Proctor when they receive they receive their COVID-19 vaccine(s). If you already received a university-approved vaccination exemption for your initial COVID-19 vaccines, this new requirement does not apply to you. If you are unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine prior to returning to USF, you will be able to receive it at the immunization clinic on campus or through the USF Student Health Clinic.
If you have received your COVID-19 vaccine, please upload all vaccine results to Med+Proctor. Please note: Students only need to provide their USF email, student ID and name to create their account. After registering your information and completing your free online profile, you may choose to pay an optional one-time fee of $10 for membership benefits, but it is not required.
All Nursing Students
COVID-19 Exemptions
With proper documentation, USF will accept medical and religious beliefs exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine or booster requirement. Medical exemption requires a letter from a health care provider stating that the immunization is medically contraindicated. Religious beliefs exemptions will be accepted for the COVID-19 vaccine (and no other USF required immunizations). Once exemptions are submitted, they will be reviewed and the student will be notified if it's approved or not for the 2024-2025 academic year.
*Nursing students, please note that degree completion may be slowed or stopped if SONHP students are unable and/or unwilling to be vaccinated, given the requirements of our clinical partners. Please contact nursing@usfca.edu if you have any questions.
If you'd like an exemption form please email the Director of Health Promotion Services, Natalie Townsend at nrtownsend@usfca.edu to request the appropriate exemption form.
