USF Bound has something to offer each new member of the USF family. USF Bound is open to all new first-year and transfer students. You can start early by learning more about USF  before your first semester. By participating in USF Bound, you can:

  • Connect with new students and our USF community
  • Engage with USF students, faculty, and staff
  • Explore academic and personal interests in a supportive environment

2025 USF Bound Important Dates & Reminders:

Before you get started, make sure you review the new student next steps page. These requirements are for all new students, so please do your best to complete them by the deadlines. For specific questions, there is contact information at the bottom of each page.

June: 

  • June 2: Sign up for Orientation (required for all new first-year and transfer students)
  • June 9: USF Bound Newsletter #1 (check your USFCA email)
  • June 9: Deadline to complete placement exams for European languages
  • June 9-13: Orientation to Your Majors (webinars)
  • June 11: Registration 101 (open to all incoming students)
  • June 23: Deadline to complete Math and other relevant placement tests (other than European languages)
  • June 25: Class Registration Begins
  • June 21: USF Bound Newsletter #2 (check your USFCA email)
  • June 23-27: Virtual New Student Meetups with Orientation Leaders (OL)
  • June 28: Summer in the Bay

JULY:

  • July 7: USF Bound Newsletter #3 (check your USFCA email)
  • July 12 - August 2: Attend a Regional Summer Send-off Event
  • July 21: USF Bound Newsletter #4 (check your USFCA email)
  • July 22: New Student & Family Town Hall (Move-In & Orientation)

AUGUST:

  • August 1: USF Bound Newsletter #5 (check your USFCA email)
  • August 8: Virtual Small Group Meeting with your OL (check your USFCA email in early August for more details)
  • August 13: New First-Year Student Move-In Day
  • August 13-18: New First-Year Student Orientation 
  • August 13-14: New First-Year Family Orientation
  • August 16: New Transfer Student Move-In Day
  • August 17-18: New Transfer Student Orientation
  • August 17: New Transfer Family Orientation
  • August 18 - September 2: Weeks of Welcome
  • August 19: First Day of Classes
