USF Bound has something to offer each new member of the USF community, including new first-year students, transfer students, parents, and family members. This program is a great way to start learning more about USF before the first semester begins and to begin building connections with the people, resources, and experiences that make up life on the Hilltop.

By participating in USF Bound, students and families can:

  • Connect with new students, parents, families, and members of the USF community
  • Engage with USF students, faculty, staff, and campus partners
  • Explore academic and personal interests in a supportive and welcoming environment

2026 USF Bound Important Dates & Reminders:

Before you get started, make sure you review the new student next steps page. These requirements are for all new students, so please do your best to complete them by the deadlines. For specific questions, there is contact information at the bottom of each page.

June: 

  • June 5: USF Bound Newsletter #1 (check your USFCA email)
  • June 8: Deadline to complete placement exams for European languages
  • June 8: Sign up for Orientation (required for all new first-year and transfer students)
  • June 8-12: Orientation to Your Majors (webinars for first-year students)
  • June 10: Registration 101 (open to all incoming students)
  • June 19: USF Bound Newsletter #2 (check your USFCA email)
  • June 22: Deadline to complete Math and other relevant placement tests (other than European languages)
  • June 24: Class Registration Begins
  • June 25: Virtual New Student Meetups with Orientation Leaders (OLs)
  • June 27: Summer in the Bay

JULY:

  • July 10: USF Bound Newsletter #3 (check your USFCA email)
  • July TBD - August TBD: Attend a Regional Summer Send-off Event
  • July 24: USF Bound Newsletter #4 (check your USFCA email)
  • July 28: New Student & Family Town Hall Webinar (Move-In & Orientation)

AUGUST:

  • August 9: USF Bound Newsletter from your Orientation Leader (OL) #5 (check your USFCA email)
  • August 14: Virtual Small Group Meeting with your OL (check your USFCA email in early August for more details)
  • August 19: New First-Year Student Move-In Day
  • August 19-24: New First-Year Student Orientation
  • August 19-20: New First-Year Family Orientation
  • August 22: New Transfer Student Move-In Day
  • August 23-24: New Transfer Student Orientation
