Recommended Immunizations
Your health, well-being, and safety is our concern. Based on recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American College Health Association, USF Health Promotion Services strongly encourages students to be vaccinated for the following:

| Meningococcal Disease (Meningitis) |
Many college students may have already been vaccinated against four types of Meningococcal disease (A, C, W, Y). It is important to understand that the Meningococcal B vaccine was only recently approved by the FDA in 2014, and is the cause of the latest infections on college campuses. Therefore, it is highly recommended that students moving into the residence halls, be vaccinated now with the Meningococcal B Vaccine. |

| Tetanus | A booster shot is needed once every ten years |
