Once you are directed to your residence hall, have unloaded, and moved in, you will be allowed to park in the Koret Center lot and the Kendrick Garage without citation. Please refer to this map to locate these parking areas.
Undergraduate students who pay the Transportation Fee as part of their tuition are eligible to receive one Muni pass per fall and spring semester. If you own an eligible Mobile Device, you can use the MuniMobile App for your transportation needs around the city. You will be able to meet with your faculty advisor at the virtual Orientation to Your Major session or during Orientation to Your Major on Monday, August 18.
You can also arrange a meeting once classes begin. To view your advisor's name and contact information, log onto myUSF, click on the Student Tab under Self Service, then click on Registration. Then click on Registration Status & adviser Information. You should be able to view your advisor's name and email address.

Yes, you should have your official score report sent to the Office of Admission for review. We award credit for most AP exam scores of 3 or higher. We require a 4 or higher for English Language and Composition, Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, US history, European History and World History. We award credit for scores of 4 or higher on higher-level IB exams.
Yes! USF offers a Family Orientation program to help families support their student’s transition. It’s a great way for family members to learn about campus resources, meet staff and faculty, and get a feel for the USF community.
We encourage family members to attend if they’re able—it’s a meaningful part of the journey for both students and their support systems!
Fill out the waiver online on the Health Promotion Services website. If you have questions you can also go to the Health Promotion Office on University Center 5th floor.
Yes! You can speak with a representative from the Center for Global Education. You can go to the Center for Global Education office located in Lone Mountain Main, Room 340, or view the information is available on the Study Abroad Website.

Even after registering, it’s common to still have questions about your major. At USF, you can reach out to your faculty advisor or your school/college’s advising center to talk through your interests, course options, and long-term goals. They’re here to help you feel confident and supported.
Yes, Orientation is required for all incoming students. Transfer students will have a tailored Orientation experience, and you'll be joining a supportive community of fellow transfers. Learn more
Please use the link below to request updates or changes to your transfer credit from institutions attended prior to enrolling at the University of San Francisco. Once submitted a member of the Office of the University Registrar team will review your request and respond to you within 5-10 business days. Please be advised that in some circumstances, you may be asked to provide additional documentation such as a course syllabus.
The Office of the University Registrar only evaluates Core curriculum and elective transfer credit. Please note, Rhetoric and Writing requirement (Core A2) and the Community Engaged Learning (CEL) requirement must be completed at USF.

You can access your degree evaluation by logging into myUSF and navigating to Student Self-Service. From there, click on Student Records, then select Degree Evaluation. This tool helps you track your progress toward graduation and see which requirements you’ve completed or still need to fulfill.

The Office of Admission only awards credit for the Core Curriculum, electives and clear USF course equivalencies. You should meet with your faculty advisor if you think some of your previous courses should apply toward major requirements. They can approve major credit through the course substitution process.
Yes! USF offers Rhetoric and Composition courses, along with others, designed specifically for transfer students. Some of these courses also fulfill USF Core requirements. Be sure to ask your faculty advisor or CASA coach if one of these classes is right for you!
It’s important to register with Student Disability Services (SDS) early. You can find their office in the Gleeson Library, Lower Level 20.
