Health Clinic Policy
All University of San Francisco students registered for credit hours are eligible to visit UCSF Saint Francis and St. Mary's Hospitals during regular business hours regardless of their health insurance plan.
Our partnered clinics will not charge current students the co-payment for consultations with a primary care physician. Although there is no cost to students for the office visit at St Mary's, Oracle Ballpark, and Saint Francis, the student's health insurance will be billed for the office visit.
Students or their health insurance will be responsible for immunization fees, laboratory tests, and radiology services that are needed to evaluate a student's health concerns. Therefore, students with Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) insurance such as Kaiser are encouraged to visit their HMO medical home to reduce any out of pocket expenses. Students, with some HMO health plans, may have the option of selecting UCSF as an in-network provider. Please contact your health insurance plan.
Please note: if you are NOT registered for credit hours (summer and winter intersessions), you can still be seen at UCSF Saint Francis and St. Mary's Hospitals but your health insurance or you will be responsible for all costs associated with your visit.
