The Catholic Student Prayer Group meets on Thursday evenings to gather in community and pray in traditional Catholic prayer forms. Join us for Compline night prayer, Lectio Divina, the Rosary and other prayers. No RSVP necessary.

Are you interested in deepening your commitment to social justice values? Want to talk with other students about how social justice experiences (community-engaged learning courses, immersions, community engagement) have shaped and challenge you?

CORE is a monthly lunchtime discussion group open to all USF students who have taken social justice courses, volunteered in the community, participated in Solidarity in Action programs, etc. to reflect on topics like processing our emotions, building relationships, and the meaning and purpose of suffering, resilience, and resistance in social justice advocacy. All are welcome.

Join fellow USF students for a lunchtime gathering of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship. We look forward to meeting those interested in Orthodox Christianity and joining together in prayer and fellowship. The mystical traditions of inner prayer, fasting, service to neighbor and a rich liturgical experience (icons, chant, and incense!) are central to this ancient Eastern manifestation of faith in Christ. The Arrupe Room is located in the Saint Ignatius Church basement. The entrance is beneath the bell tower at the Northeast corner of the church from the descending stairs.

4:45 - 6:15 p.m. | Tai Chi & Zazen + Kinhin Meditation | Arrupe Room

  • 4:45 - 5:30 p.m. | Tai Chi | weather permitting, outside on the grass, otherwise in Arrupe Room
  • 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. | Zazen + Kinhin Meditation | Arrupe Room

No prior experience with Zen meditation required. Please wear appropriate clothing for tai chi practice and seated cross-legged meditation. These events are free and open to all USF community members as well as the public.
