The Catholic Student Prayer Group meets on Thursday evenings to gather in community and pray in traditional Catholic prayer forms. Join us for Compline night prayer, Lectio Divina, the Rosary and other prayers. No RSVP necessary.

CORE Meetings

CORE Group is a community care for social justice advocates including the Solidarity in Action volunteers and other social justice clubs that are affiliated with the University Ministry. We meet on a monthly basis to process various aspects of our lives ranging from our experiences volunteering through the Social Justice programs, emotional overwhelm, homesickness, belongingness, and hope. It is fun, interactional, educational and any USF student interested in social justice dialogue and action is welcomed to join. 

We meet on each 4th Thursday of the month at 11:45am - 12:45pm in the University Ministry office (Toler 122). Lunch is served.

The mystical traditions of inner prayer, fasting, service to neighbor and a rich liturgical experience (icons, chant, and incense!) are central to this ancient Eastern manifestation of faith in Christ. Every Tuesday: 4:30 p.m. -  6 p.m. | Arrupe Room, Saint Ignatius Church
(Saint Ignatius Church basement, entrance beneath the bell tower at Northeast corner of the church from descending stairs)
4:30 – 5:15 pm: Tai Chi (weather permitting, outside on the grass, otherwise in Arrupe Room)
5:15 – 6:00 pm: Zazen + Kinhin Meditation (Arrupe Room)

No prior experience with Zen meditation required. Please wear appropriate clothing for tai chi practice and seated cross-legged meditation. These events are free and open to all USF community members as well as the public.
