Ask a Recruiter Drop-Ins

Meet a recruiter from a variety of industries each semester. Get help on your resume, interview preparation, industry research, or career advice. Look on Handshake to see any upcoming Ask A Recruiter Drop-In opportunities!  

PREPARATION

• No pre-registration is required. These are drop-ins so that students will be seen on a first-served basis. 
• Read up on it and be prepared to speak to that employer. A link to that employer will be in the Handshake event.
• Dress can be campus casual, but should be clean and neat.

THE MEETING

• When you arrive, sign up at the Career Center Front Desk. Students will be seen on a first-come basis. Depending on the number of students, you may meet the employer with a small group of students or one-on-one.
• Meetings will be kept to 10-15 minutes, depending on the number of student sign-ups.
• Be prepared to ask them for resume and/or interview advice, ask about their company or industry, or career advice.
• Ask the recruiter if you may connect with them on LinkedIn or reach out to them through email for follow-up questions.

FOLLOW-UP

• A thank you note to the recruiter through email or LinkedIn is strongly recommended.
