Research has shown that college students may not consume the recommended 5 servings or more of fruits and vegetables a day. At USF, according to the Fall 2015 ACHA National College Health Assessment, about 7% of students surveyed met the recommended amount. This means that a large majority of our students are not getting vital nutrients that are needed for the body to function optimally.
