The Health Promotion Services offers health services and opportunities that promote wellness, stimulate better health awareness, and foster a vibrant and safe campus community for student academic success and retention.

Mission Statement

To care for the whole person (cura personalis), a Jesuit tradition, that inspires our proactive and compassionate approach to health promotion and wellness on access to health care, immunizations, alcohol and other drugs, nutrition, physical activity, sexual health, tobacco use, and stress management.

Health Insurance Waiver/Enrollment Period Now Open

The Spring 2025 insurance waiver and enrollment period is now open. If you have coverage that is comparable or better than the USF-endorsed insurance plan, you may waive it below. Learn more about the insurance requirement and get more information on how to voluntarily enroll during open enrollment.

Celebrate World AIDS Day with a free red ribbon commemoration pin, free HIV testing provided by our partners at UCSF Alliance Health Project, and valuable resources from UCSF Health Medical Group, Gleeson Library, and USF Cultural Centers, including the Gender & Sexuality Center.

Campus Tips from HPS

Immunization requirements. All students, excluding online degree students, are required to submit immunization requirements. Our check immunization requirements page outlines what is needed.

Find student ID: To get support for your health requirements (i.e. insurance, immunization, mandatory course) or schedule an appointment, we will ask for your student ID. If you do not know your student ID, here are directions on how to find it.
