Why USF?

I chose USF, because I felt welcomed by the Jesuit values and empowered by our mission. Moreover, I could see the students the living out the mission through their actions and their demeanor. I felt like the although the values were centered around the Jesuit-Catholic tradition, that every student could apply them into their daily lives.

USF Involvement:

  • Resident Hall Council, Hayes Healy - Programmer (2012-2013)
  • Delta Zeta - Greek Council Standards Representative, Parliamentarian, Ritual Chairwoman
  • GO Team - Orientation Leader (2012-2013) Team Leader
  • Greek Council - Vice President of Programs
  • Senate - Student of Color Representative
  • USF Club Volleyball - team member

Benefits of Involvement:

Through my involvement I have gained so much confidence in the person I am, what I do and why I do it. My leadership experiences have empowered me to change things in my life and at USF and inspiring others to do the same.

Leadership:

Leadership is working towards a shared vision, acting with values in mind, and inspiring others to reach their full potential. True leadership is knowing when to lead, and understanding when to follow.

Advice to First Year Students:

Go outside of your comfort zone, and try new things. Challenge yourself in leadership, knowing that you are more than capable of succeeding. Become the best version of yourself.
