Why USF?
To be completely honest, the University of San Francisco wasn't my top choice when it came to my college search, but ever since I stepped foot here on Admitted Students Visit Program day it was the only campus that felt like home. More and more everyday this university becomes my home and the city that it resides in becomes more of a driving force in all that I do and a source of constant inspiration. Since that day I don't regret my decision to become a Don, in fact it was probably one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. This university is more than just a collegiate campus, this university to me have been the source of inspiration to serve the world around me and gives me the drive to become a man for others "changing the world from here."

Benefits of Involvement:
Being involved on the this campus has rooted me in the traditions and activities of the University of San Francisco. Not only that, but it is through involvement that the man I have always wished to become and the man I was destined to be have slowly molded into the same person. I have been challenged in ways that I have never been before and it is through those that challenges that have made me into the strong charactered fraternity man. I have met incredible individuals that have constantly inspired me and supported me in all my endeavors. And not to over exaggerate but it's through involvement and the people I have met through being engaged that has kept me here at USF and loving every second of it.
Leadership:
Leadership to me is not position it's action. It's not what title you possess, but more of what you do with the incredible responsibility bestowed upon you. To me, leadership is simple - it's action not positions, it's character not reputation, it's inspiring not dictating. Our actions must inspire others to do more, dream more, and become more, while concurrently becoming the greatest versions of ourselves.
Advice to First Year Students:
All it takes is 20 seconds of insane courage and I promise something amazing will come of it. If I didn't take those 20 seconds as a freshmen to extend my hand for a handshake to meet the ASUSF Senate President I wouldn't have had the chance to serve on ASUSF Senate as a Freshman because I would have been too scared. If I didn't take those 20 seconds to meet the Leadership Consultants of Pi Kappa Phi and learn more about the leadership opportunity of being a Founding Father I wouldn't be the strong charactered fraternity man I am today with 42 men behind me I call my brothers. If I didn't take those 20 seconds to start my application for Greek Council Vice President of Standards I wouldn't have had the opportunity to serve my fellow brothers and sisters as the President-Elect.
As first-years or students in general, it is daunting and scary to get involved, but I promise all it takes is 20 seconds of insane courage and I promise something great will come of it.
