Meet the 2023-24 GSS Executive Board
There are five executive officers that make up the executive board of the Graduate Student Senate (GSS). The executive board is primarily responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all GSS initiatives, programs, and services.

Officer Bio:
Shewit serves as the President of the Graduate Student Senate for the 2024/25 academic year at the University of San Francisco, where she is deeply committed to amplifying the voices of graduate students. With a background in Business from the University of Washington, where she concentrated on Leadership and Strategic Innovation, Shewit brings a sharp strategic perspective to her advocacy work. Now pursuing a Master’s in International and Development Economics at USF, her passion for fostering equitable and sustainable economic growth continues to drive her academic and professional journey. As a co-founder and current Chair of the Black Graduate Student Association, Shewit has been instrumental in pushing for initiatives that enhance resources, collaboration, and community engagement.

Dr. Aayushi Sett, Vice President of Internal Affairs at USF, is dedicated to cultivating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment. Leveraging her unique background in dental surgery and public health, she aims to create safe spaces where all students feel valued and heard. Aayushi is passionate about promoting mental health awareness and improving student engagement. Her goals include enhancing the graduate student experience, creating a community mindset, and ensuring that every voice is heard and respected within the USF community.

Srilekha Ramani is a friendly and open-minded individual with a strong focus on achieving results. In her role, she is dedicated to creating a collaborative environment where all students can connect, network, and fully explore the resources available at USF. Passionate about finance, Srilekha actively contributes her expertise to the Graduate Student Senate Finance Committee. She aims to represent student voices effectively, ensuring that financial decisions align with their needs and aspirations. Clayton is a 2nd year Master’s of Public Health Student. He is passionate about psychology, foreign affairs, and art. Clayton joined GSS to build a stronger graduate community and host more student events. Clayton also serves as the editorial assistant for USF’s Asia Pacific Perspectives journal.
