ETS Faculty Summer Intensive Program

Join ETS/DLI May 26-28th for an informative and practical 3-day Summer Intensive program on technology and pedagogy. Participants will meet onsite in Gleeson Library to learn tips and tools for incorporating AI safely and responsibly in your courses, universal design to create courses that work for all of your students, Active Learning concepts and principles, and Flipped Learning activities to create a more engaged and interactive classroom. Any full-time and adjunct faculty are encouraged to apply. Lunch will be provided.

2026 Program dates: May 26-28,  9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (Onsite in Gleeson Library)

The teaching strategies will focus on:

  • Universal Design for Learning/Accessible Design
  • Using AI in the Curriculum
  • Active Learning
  • Flipped Classroom

The technologies we will explore:

  • Canvas
  • Panopto
  • Simple Syllabus
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Poll Everywhere
  • Adobe Express

Participants will attend three consecutive days of IN-PERSON programming, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., May 26-28, and a lunchtime gathering at the end of the Fall semester.

Program Expectations

  1. Attend our 3-day May in-person workshops.
  2. Must be teaching a USF course during the fall semester.
  3. Meet with an ETS mentor 2-3 times before and during the Fall semester via face-to-face or Zoom.
  4. Complete homework before and during the 3-day workshop.
  5. Present at the post-semester (December) luncheon.
  6. Use the Canvas Dons template that will be introduced in the program.
