How Can I Use the Studio?

Direct Address Video

Direct address videos consist of a single subject directly addressing the camera. This format is used often by instructors who make videos for their students, such as course introduction videos, module introduction videos, or short topic lectures.

Record Audio for a Podcast

Single voices or multiple voices (up to 3) can be recorded in the studio, whether recording a short audio lecture,  narration for a slide-based lecture, or a conversation or podcast.  The studio has several vocal microphones that can be configured to record to your computer or to an external recorder and the files can be delivered via internet.

Use The Learning Glass

Essentially a clear, see-through whiteboard, the Learning Glass enables an instructor to face the camera as they draw, diagram, or write on the glass. The video is flipped in post-processing so that it reads left-to-right.

The Learning Glass is effective for showing worked examples, steps to a process, or solving equations.

Record an Interview Video

If you have an expert you would like to record in an interview/conversation to share with your students, the studio can be configured to record two people on video.

With a black background as standard, the studio can be configured to light and record with a 2-camera set up. The video can be "live-switched" to complete an edit between two cameras, eliminating the need for post-production editing.

The set-up is ideal for two people.
