New 403(b) Contribution Limits

The IRS has announced an increase to the contribution limit for the 403(b) Voluntary Retirement Plan for 2025. Review the new 2025 403(b) limits.

Note:

  • If you are currently contributing the maximum amount and would like to continue with the same contribution, no action is needed on your part.
  • If you are age 60 – 63 by 12/31/2025, you can contribute a maximum amount of $34,750.  If you are currently contributing the maximum amount, and will be between age 60 – 63 by 12/31/2025, you will automatically contribute up to $34,750 unless you decide to change your deferral election.  If you have any questions about this new contribution limit, please reach out to Ron Chin at rchin2@usfca.edu
