Summer Faculty Special
One-Day GenAI Certification Intensive
June 4 OR 5
The one-day intensive will provide all the necessary training to earn the certificate. Choose either June 4 or 5 to attend the in-person workshops conducted on-site in Gleeson 236, 10 am–3 pm, lunch included.
ETS GenAI Certificate Program
The GenAI Certification program is structured to support a deeper understanding of the GenAI tools and practices for use in Higher Education. Complete 5 or more classes offered through ETS, along with a short final project, to earn a GenAI Certificate. Conversely, you can also take individual courses without pursuing a certificate from either required or elective.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the Program, participants will be able to:
- Develop Generative AI literacy skills for use in teaching and learning
- Use GenAI safely and securely
- Develop proficiency with one or more GenAI tools, such as ChatGPT
- Write more effective prompts to generate improved results
- Identify best practices and limitations of using Generative AI tools for assessment

Leverage GenAI to create imagery and learn how to write descriptive prompts to quickly and easily generate extraordinary images. We will also explore Adobe's Firefly, and the same technology integrated with Adobe Express. Additionally, we will explore image creation and interpretations in ChatGPT.
