GenAI Certification Intensive

Summer  One-Day AI Certification Intensive

This summer, we offer both in-person workshops conducted on-site in Gleeson 213 and online via Zoom. The one-day intensive will provide all the necessary training to earn the certificate. Choose from two training dates:

  • Thursday, July 9, 10-3 pm (Zoom only) OR
  • Tuesday, August 4, 9:30-3:30 pm (Gleeson 213 onsite with lunch provided)

The program is structured to support a deeper understanding of the AI tools and practices for individual faculty and staff members in higher education.
By completing the AI certificate program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify AI literacy skills and their applications to teaching, learning, and institutional practices 
  • Prepare to use AI tools safely and securely
  • Develop a level of competency with one or more AI tools, such as Google Gemini
  • Improve AI prompting strategies to generate expected output
  • Identify the best pedagogical practices for integrating AI tools into learning activities and assessments in a responsible and critical manner.
