My name is NyAshia Pressley, and I cannot wait to be a Student of Color Representative for the 23-24 school year. Being a minority, not only racially but gender-wise, in my major, I've gone through my fair share of unfortunate situations surrounding school and social situations in general, primarily being raised in the South. By being the Student of Color Representative, I take it upon myself to be the voice for those who feel their voices need to be heard or listened to around campus. Being a part of a diverse school can also bring certain situations of not knowing where you fit in or feeling inadequate in your certain cultural community. Still, I hope I can bring peace to these situations and help guide those who don’t mind reaching out for a helping hand! Whether during my office hours or outside of my office hours, please feel free to reach out to me at any time of the day in any form of communication!
