Mar Ruiz is committed to strengthening communication about the initiatives and resources Senate is working on for students. He is passionate about making student government more transparent and accessible by highlighting the work Senate does to support the campus community. Outside of Senate, Mar is interested in public policy, housing issues, and community advocacy, and hopes to pursue a career dedicated to building stronger and more equitable communities.

Leanna Leung is a Public Health major in the School of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of San Francisco. She is passionate about uplifting students’ voices and strives to ensure that everyone feels supported both academically and socially. Through her involvement in on-campus activities and volunteer work across the city, she has connected with diverse communities and gained a deeper understanding of her peers’ needs. As your Vice President of Internal Affairs, she hopes to serve as a bridge between students and faculty, creating spaces where ideas and feedback can be shared openly. Leanna is excited to grow alongside her classmates and work together to build a stronger, more connected USF community!

Bethia Hormoz is a local from San Jose, pursuing a major in Sociology. She aspire to become a lawyer who is committed to uplifting other people's voices and ensuring that they are heard. She is devoted to being involved in campus organizations and programs to gain experience in collaboration and advocacy. As ASUSF VP of Finance, she strives to make the budgeting process fair, transparent, and responsive to student needs. Camila is a senior politics student dedicated to serving her community here at USF. As a first generation Mexican American, she understands the importance of feeling seen and heard in the spaces she is part of. In her Senate role, she hopes to connect with students across the different communities she belongs to and works alongside. Through marketing and communications, she wants to make Senate more accessible and help students learn how to share their ideas and concerns. Officer Bio:
She is a professional within the technology sector with a strong interest in the intersection of technology, law, and public policy. Originally from Fowler, California, she hopes to build a career in the technology sector before eventually pursuing work in politics and technology policy. She is particularly interested in how emerging technologies can shape institutions, communities, and everyday life. Through her position as the Information CAS Rep., she hopes to contribute a student perspective to important conversations surrounding the future of technology at USF, especially within the large number of STEM majors within the college. She is also interested in preserving the humanities amid the rise of the technological sector and wants to continue to highlight their importance to our institution and the world.

Vanshika is a nursing student at the University of San Francisco who is passionate about advocating for her peers and creating opportunities that enhance the student experience. With experience in student government, healthcare, research, and community service, she enjoys bringing different perspectives together and turning student concerns into meaningful action. As the ASUSF School of Nursing and Health Professions Representative, she hopes to ensure nursing students feel heard, supported, and connected while expanding access to resources, professional opportunities, and a stronger sense of community. She looks forward to working alongside students, faculty, and administration to create practical changes that not only address student needs but also enrich the overall nursing experience. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, spending time with cats, listening to music, attending concerts, exploring San Francisco, and trying out new dessert spots with friends.

In this role, Lanae hopes to make student voices feel genuinely heard by creating an open line of communication between the junior class and Senate. One of Lanae's goals is to make students more aware of resources, opportunities, and decisions that directly impact them, while also making it easier for students to share their ideas and concerns. Ryder Cartago is a sophomore Communication Studies major at the University of San Francisco. He is the Sophomore Class Representative for ASUSF Senate. Li Mengda is a freshman Finance student who is passionate about getting involved in the USF community. He is dedicated to representing the voices, ideas, and concerns of his fellow freshmen. Alberto De La Rosa-Campos is dedicated to building community, listening to his constituents, and making sure student voices are not only heard, but represented through meaningful action. As the Queer Student Representative, he hopes to strengthen connections with queer students across campus, create more opportunities for students to share their experiences, and bring those perspectives directly into Senate. Coming all the way from Newberry, South Carolina, Alberto understands the importance of finding community in a new place and hopes to help other students find that same sense of belonging at USF. He is passionate about making student government more approachable, accessible, and connected to the people it represents. Aside from Senate, he can usually be found roaming the city, exploring parks and woods, and listening to music.

Taylor Mendez is a Neuroscience major on the pre-med track, and one day she strives to serve her local community as a primary care physician. Right now, she is becoming a medical assistant, and as a result, she has a broad understanding of her local community's needs. As a first-generation college student herself and a second-generation Mexican-American, she is passionate about advocating for initiatives that will support and uplift others without causing any academic or financial concerns. Through this, she strives to showcase resources available for those in her community, such as discounts and how to access benefits! Outside of the Senate, she loves chit-chatting over iced coffees and spending time at beach cleanups or hiking!
