Internships and Career Planning

The major in Psychology prepares students for a wide range of careers. The research-based psychology program at USF is designed to fully prepare students competing for a position in a graduate program.  All psychology majors should visit USF Career Services in their first year at USF to determine their different resources regarding internships, careers in psychology, and graduate school.

Career paths that many Psychology majors are interested in are outlined in the following documents.  Some careers (for example, "counseling", "psychotherapy", "mental health services", etc.) will require a mental health license (which requires graduate work, at least at the masters level).
