Muay Thai Club

The USF Club Muay Thai team is a recreational, on-campus club. Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and an international treasure of the Martial Arts community. One of the most widely practiced striking styles, Muay Thai is unofficially the most utilized striking style by professional UFC fighters. Also known as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or "Science of Eight Limbs," Muay Thai is designed to use all parts of the body for attack (2 fists, 2 elbows, 2 knees, and 2 feet) as well as clinching or grappling, as opposed to other styles such as boxing which only utilizes the fists.

Muay Thai serves as both a great workout and an applicable means of self-defense. Within our club, we learn, practice, and perfect technique, condition ourselves to make our bodies strong and fast, and apply what we learn in sparring. Any and all skill levels from pure beginner to advanced are welcome to the club. Whether you would like to come for just the workout, develop a strong striking style, or simply learn for the sake of picking up a new skill, the USF Muay Thai Club is open to all!
