Women's Rugby Club

The USF Women's Rugby Club, which is a competitive club on campus, participates in the Northern California Rugby Football Union's Division II. The typical season consists of practices in the fall and some league games.  In the spring, the bulk of league games will be played to decide which clubs continue on to the regional playoffs.  Currently the club competes against Monterey Bay, Sacramento State, Fresno State, Santa Clara University, St. Mary’s College, UC Santa Cruz and UN Reno.

Rugby combines the physicality of American football, the stamina of soccer, and the coordination of basketball to create the ultimate sports challenge. With fifteen players on the field, there’s a position for all body types, both big and small. If you enjoy a full contact sport or are looking to try something new, then USF Rugby is a good place to start. No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn!
